EXCELLENT Based on 69 reviews Posted on DipankarVerified Awesome walking food tour! Ethnically diverse delicious food. My wife and I did the DC tour with Tim yesterday and had an amazing experience. We walked through a couple different neighborhoods of DC (Adam's Morgan and Dupont Circle) with us stopping at various points and learning about city's history, the different communities that live here and of course, it's diverse and delicious food. We stopped at 3 different restaurants and had a drink and a food item at each stop. Tim's recommendations were top notch and we enjoyed everything we ate and drank, and were definitely full by the end of the evening. At every restaurant, we got to learn about the origin stories of the food, the neighborhood and Tim brought everything to life with his thoughtful storytelling. There is quite a bit of walking on this tour (around 3 miles) and it lasted over 4 hours, but we enjoyed the ethnically diverse food - some seafood, some El Salvadorian and a big Ethiopian platter. The tour ended with us enjoying a delicious dessert at a rooftop overlooking the city. I would highly recommend this walking food tour with DrinkEatWalk. A great way to spend an evening with friends and family.Posted on Lori KVerified Even better the 2nd time! Amazing night in the neighborhoods of DC. This was our second tour with Tim and it didn't disappoint. It was a night of great food and drink, history, exercise and connection. Our whole group had a wonderful time. Thanks Tim!Posted on tlcg23Verified A special kind of dinner party We decided to book Tim's tour instead of a typical dinner party for our daughter's graduation. We are so glad we did it! It was equally delicious and informative, while getting our steps in. Thank you, Tim, for a fun and memorable evening.Posted on Camper00761129021Verified Fantastic Way to Experience DC Neighborhoods! One thing is clear from the very start of this tour: Tim loves DC: he loves the people, the food, the history and the community. From the start at Hanks Oyster Bar in Dupont Circle to El Tamarindo, Elfegne, and Henry's Soul Cafe in Adams Morgan he shared interesting facts of how the communities of DC came together and how food was integral to each. If you love food, you will love this tour. If you love history, you will love this tour. And whether your a tourist and know very little about DC or a history buff and think you know a lot about DC, you will absolutely love this tour. Highly recommend it!Posted on Mark ZVerified Great Washington DC Drink. Eat. Walk Tour Loved this tour! Tim does a fantastic job - fun, informative and really interesting perspectives on the history of Washington D.C. The food and drink were amazing - great suggestions of venues and menu choices. Highly recommend this tour!Posted on Martin CVerified Top Tier DC Tour Tim was an amazing tour guide, and I'd recommend this tour to anyone visiting DC! I had been to the city several times before but had not walked through the neighborhoods of actual DC locals. The food and drinks were great, and the tour was very interesting. Highly recommended.Posted on Zach HVerified Great birthday experience My parents booked this food tour on a whim for my birthday. I love food, trying new things, and appreciating international cuisine. But as someone who frequents U Street and Adams Morgan quite often, I was skeptical. I wanted to experience somewhere new to get a taste of a DC I didn’t know. Safe to say, I was thoroughly surprised and pleased with this tour. I experienced places I’d been hundreds of times in a completely eye-opening way. I tried foods I never would have even thought to, and left each stop wanting more. This tour is amazing, Tim is very knowledgeable and personable, and every place on this journey is one I will be coming back to. Thank you Tim for a great birthday!Posted on Tammie CVerified Fantastic! Fun! Informative! Delicious! Fantastic! Fun! Informative! Delicious! The Eat Drink Walk tour with Tim, our guide and the owner, was filled with fantastic food from various local restaurants where we talked to many of the owners and ate their specialty dishes. We wandered through, behind and up to learn the history of DC and interesting local knowledge of the area around DuPont Circle. Tim was full of enthusiasm and inspiration for DC and shared his love of the city. I would highly recommend this tour.Posted on Cory HVerified Great tour! This was a great experience! Tim was so knowledgeable and friendly. He has put a lot of thought into creating this tour. The food and drinks we experienced were amazing. We booked the tour with our 24-year-old son for his birthday. He loved it and learned a lot about some of the neighborhoods where he has spent some time. Thank you, Tim! Five stars!Posted on Germaine LVerified Fun night with food, drinks and history! What a fun night! I treated my 21-year old niece and her boyfriend, plus my 24-year old son for a fun night out. It was the nieces first “grown up solo trip” to DC after many as a kid. My 24-year old is a generally a curmudgeon…but he and the rest of us had an amazing time. I’ve lived in Alexandria for 25+ years and this was my first time on some of the streets. We all learned a ton from Tim, this is almost as much of a history tour as it is a food tour. Meeting was easy, just a few blocks from the metro. We hit 3 great local restaurants, had a slice of pre-purchased sweet potato pie, and then enjoyed an amazing 360 degree view of DC from the rooftop of Tim’s apartment building (with a nightcap of local brews). It was the boyfriend’s first time having Ethiopian food and he raved about it. My niece is Gluten sensitive and Tim made sure to take that into account and adjusted menus to work for her. I’ve been on one other food tour where you had to pay extra for beverages. On this one fun cocktails and interesting wine are included! Highly recommend!
