2026 Objectives for Drink•Eat•Walk DC Food Tours

I’ve looked back to evaluate how my Drink•Eat•Walk DC food tours did in 2025. Now it’s time to look ahead and declare my 2026 objectives — it’s going to be the year of the killer E’s:

#1 Extend the number of tours I offer

I’ve long planned to offer a hiking food tour through Rock Creek Park, so will finally get that launched this year. I’m also thinking of offering a food tour in the neighborhood around DC’s Convention Center. There’s some good stories to be told about that area and the people & communities within it. The real draw, though, is the one million visitors attending events at the Convention Center. This is a large population of potential guests, many of whom will never explore very far off in the city for tours like mine.

#2 Expand the ways I offer my tours

I currently list my tours on Tripadvisor/Viator, GetYourGuide, and directly on my DrinkEatWalk.com website. I want to dramatically increase the number of outlets offering my tours, whether that’s additional OTAs, other online marketplaces, or even IRL partnerships.

#3 Extract more money from the business

(I don’t love some connotations of this word, but gotta keep the E theme [Ex, really] going, right?) I want & need to make a lot more money this year. The obvious way is to run many more tours, with many more guests. But I also want to figure out other revenue streams for the Drink•Eat•Walk business. I especially need to identify methods for generating income that aren’t directly because I’m leading a tour.

I have specific, measurable goals within each of the above, but that’s for me, not you 😉 And I want to do all of this by continuing to Exceed Experience Expectations — I had great guests in 2025, who left amazing reviews, and their happiness will continue to be the core of every single tour I lead.

LFG, D•E•W 🤘

(and I now exit from exhausting expression of this year’s theme)
